Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actress. Also, she sings. In her early years Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by a lot of Americans. The confidence started to build at the age of nineteen when she appeared in an audition and was highly praised for her singing. It not only boosted confidence in herself, but it also changed her goals for the future. At the age of 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, her first Broadway performance with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail were both her big breaks. However her greatest breakthrough came when she appeared in the part of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway show Spamalot garnering not only an award called the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. She gained more recognition when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. The actress is also a renowned artist and produced an extended show. She has also been an advocate for LGBT issues.
